Pinot Nero vom Kalk Alto Adige DOC - 2017

Pinot Noir vom Kalk hails from a vineyard site characterized by soil dominated by limestone, a key factor contributing to the wine's exceptional qualities. Pinot Noir is a widely favored variety in Alto Adige, and this region is renowned for producing some of the finest Pinot Noir in Italy, thanks to its unique terroir and elevated slopes ranging from 450 to 500 meters above sea level. These conditions impart a remarkable depth to the wine, showcasing outstanding fruit quality, earthy notes, spice, and a solid structure.

Crafted through fermentation in an open cask and aged in barrels for 12-14 months, this Pinot Noir undergoes extended bottle aging for an additional 12 months, enhancing its character and depth.

The wine presents itself with a star-bright, medium ruby color, reflecting its elegance and power. Vibrant red berries, earthiness, roses, cloves, graphite, and a subtle toast character create a complex bouquet. The wine boasts a great structure and ripe tannins, leading to an elegant finish marked by bright acidity and minerality.
