Primitivo di Manduria Riserva DOC - 2017

Attanasio's Primitivo Riserva is certain to captivate enthusiasts of robust red wines, showcasing a classic southern Italian profile characterized by ripe dark fruit flavors and an exceptionally smooth texture. The nose is greeted by enticing aromas of cassis, dark cherry, licorice, and mint, while the initial sip reveals abundant ripe plum, jammy berries, and sweet spices from oak aging.

Crafted from top-quality fruit grown on bush vines in the region's characteristic "terra rossa" or "red earth" soils, Attanasio vinifies the wines in stainless steel tanks, employing a prolonged maceration to preserve the natural character of the grape variety. The young wines then undergo a 12-month aging process in 225-liter barrels, followed by an additional 24 months in 114-liter French oak barrels.
