The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo is a lovely wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes in Alba and Treiso. The vineyard is at 300 meters above sea level, facing west, with soil made of grey marl. The 20-year-old vines are harvested in early October.
After harvesting, the wine ages for 12 months in big French oak barrels, gaining depth. It has a ruby-red color, and the scent is fruity and floral, like roses and cherry jam. The taste is warm, soft, and velvety, turning garnet with age. It's an elegant and complex wine that brings out the best in Nebbiolo grapes.
