Rocche Massalupo Barbaresco DOGC - 2017

The Barbaresco DOCG Rocche Massalupo is a special wine made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes in the town of Alba. The vineyard sits 300 meters above sea level, facing west, with soil made of grey marl. The vines are 20 years old and are harvested in October.

After harvest, the wine ages for a year in big French oak barrels, adding complexity. It has a ruby-red color with garnet hints. The smell is strong, like withered violets, maraschino cherries, and a bit of tobacco. The taste is full, with a noticeable tannin feel typical of Nebbiolo grapes. The aging process adds extra layers to its flavor.
